BE

The busyness attracts

A great deal of lack

In doing

There is nothing

And supposing

There is something

But how to be found

If the eyes keep on roaming

Instead of looking

At the one thing that is everything

And hoping

That dreaming will see its fruit

In waiting

There is solace

Beyond all doing

There is only one thing

That actually means something

And so she waits

Eagerly, sometimes desperately

Often anxiously

But never hopelessly

Hoping her day will come

But in all she is learning

To treasure the waiting

Instead of hoping for times’ passing

For in waiting

There is nothing to do but be

Stopping, No running

Now she sees

Beauty,

His and then hers slowly

She hears

Voices that really matter

She feels

Strength, peace

What was once elusive now security

And in that there is everything

Because the greatest joy of living

Is found in knowing

That He requires nothing else

But that she be

“But the Lord said to her, "My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it  and I won’t take it away from her”
